Generation Two; Day Something: Happy Birthday and See Ya Later.

I swear this family is so boring. They do the same stuff every day.

This is a mix of trying to get her focused for school and working on her aspiration. And also because she was walked in on in the bath by Val and she's doing the embarrassed cringe after making a move.

Val decided to help out by getting a part-time job in retail. She is a Shelf Stocker. Probably makes about the same as Jo does, actually. Might have Kenny get a job, too, but maybe not. She's already exhausted when she gets home from school . . .

Cassandra Goth came over, all young adult stage. Kinda wanna edit her--at least the hair. Pigtails on grownups are just weird to me.

Jo took a bubble bath and ended up playful Since everyone's hunger is in the yellow, she made some gummy bear pancakes! They look amazing, even to me and I don't like gummy bears. (Don't judge me.)

Kenny got a couple new outfits. Here's one of her everyday. I like this more than what she was wearing, to be honest.

720 simoleons into the mailbox. Every time bills come, they're always a different amount. Never two weeks in a row with the same amount wanted in bills. I find this oddly amusing.

Okay, to the chess table with you!

Hertha woke up and joined her for a game. Cute, yeah?

At six, Val headed off to work even though she's exhausted.

Kenny's room/bed is still the gathering place of the rest of the family. This is getting ridiculous, you guys.

Upset promotion picture! J is now an eSports Competitor.

Gaming competition--he's playing Sims Forever. Where can I go where playing Sims is a competition? I want in on this!

He was almost done . . . then the computer broke. Well shit.

"Mumble grumble, stupid mumble computer."

Please don't die.

He didn't die. He lives to see his eldest daughter age into a lovely young adult.

But before that, look! Finally a private place to do the dirty! No more kicking the children off the lot to woohoo--or kicking siblings off the lot to 'mess around' for the teens. Huzzah!

Okay, now we're going into the birthdays. First off, I wanna explain how this is gonna work. If story progression was a thing like it was in Sims 3--or at least existent--I'd age Val up move her out, and see how long it took for her and Alex to get married and have babies. Since it's not a thing, I'm gonna call Alex over and age both of them up, move him in, get them married and pregnant, and then either move them out once it's determined Val's pregnant, or wait until the kid's aged into a child and then move them out. We'll find out when we get there, yeah?

Here is the lovely Valeria Zavanella all grown up! Other than some weight gain, though, she doesn't look any different. She rolled the trait Self-Assured.

Turns out Alexander is already a young adult. Good. That just makes my job easier.

Here he is! Although their relationship is kinda crap. Hopefully it can be fixed before she has to leave for work at six!

"I think we should start living together."

"Okay."

And this was where I changed my mind about how I'm gonna do spares and their spouses. The 'house' isn't big enough for Val to upgrade to a double bed and they're a little too broke for a new bedroom that she and Alex can share--and it'd be a little creepy to get her pregnant in her parents' bed.... So Val was moved into the Goth house where she can live with him forever and ever. (I also found that Mortimer either died or moved out--he's probably dead since no SP, but considering the revelation had when J moved in, it's kinda . . . not fun, per se, but something like that, to entertain the thought for story's sake.)

Goodbye, guys! See you around town, Val!

I made their house a little better! Still need to go through a shared bathroom to get to the master bedroom, but Kenny's room doesn't seem to be the hotspot for eating anymore, which I'm grateful for.

For some reason, Don Lothario decided he'd help Hertha with her homework. Uhm. I feel like I should tell her to run.

Meanwhile, Kenny's inside completing the first milestone of her lifetime wish. Yay!

"This doesn't look safe . . ."

Well your fun is low (as usual) and your tenseness is annoying. Drink up so you can sleep.

"There are like, fireworks in this thing!"

J.

"Creepy voice over chick."

Drink it.

"I think there are fireworks going off in my stomach."

But you don't need fun now, do ya?

"What if I explode?"

Just go to sleep.

This is short as hell, but it's been in progress for days. And I meant to upload Val to the gallery, but forgot. (And I'm worried it'll crash my game.) I'll try to remember for Hertha and Kenny, though. And I'm pretty sure I put Jo in there when I made her. If your game doesn't crash whenever you use the gallery, would you mind checking? I can't remember for sure and don't wanna crash my game.

Next time: Kenny will age up, as will J and Jo. Hertha might, too, but her birthday is further away than everyone else's. And Kenny might finally get a spouse.

Generation Two; Day Whatever We're At Now: The Zavanellas Are Back!

Okay, thanks to Google and other Simmers who had the same issue, I may have figured out why my game kept crashing. It's either an issue with the gallery, or something to do with an item in CAS. (I know it's not CC because I don't have any.) Either way, the Zavanella family is back and ready for business! (And frequent saving, just in case.)

So lat time, Hertha aged up, but because my game was being slow I didn't get any pictures. (It actually totally glitched and she was invisible until after I edited her hair and clothes in CAS.) Well, to start us off today, have a picture of child Hertha:

Seems to be another Jo clone--although Kenny actually has her father's lips, I think. Or someone other than Jo's, because Kenny's got some thin lips. Anyways, looks like I can't get the blue skin without the red hair and green eyes. Not that I'm really complaining, because red hair and green eyes are my favorite combination in the world, but some variety would be amazing.

First order of business as a child: nap with her older sister. Val was upset because I had her clean something up and she's lazy. Hertha just aged up kinda sleepy.

Oh yeah, her child trait is Music Lover and her child aspiration is Social Butterfly. Yeah, that's not gonna be completed. There are only so many children in this town.

I should send her out on a boyfriend hunt like I did Val, but the first milestone of her aspiration feels so simple I kinda wanna focus on it a little more. She literally only has to read three books and get to level four in logic. So she's gonna read this book. (Which is number two, for those curious.)

Meanwhile, J the noncommittal is professing his undying love to Jo. It's cute as it is--two ids between them--three since he's pretty much raised Kenny, too--but it'd be even cuter if they were married.

"Well, I want the arch."

Well, you're broke. I don't think that'll be available for this family until generation five--maybe seven--the way this is going.

"Ugh."

At least their relationship didn't suffer like it did when Val and Kenny were kids. Hallelujah.

And then my laptop overheated and completely shut itself down--closing my game and everything else. So while hoping and praying I saved--or that auto-save kicked in and I wouldn't have to replay, I procrastinated on reopening the game.

When I did, I tested a theory by going into one of my other legacies that isn't online. Turns out my game's issue is with the gallery and, until it's fixed in a patch or something--no matter how much I may want to use it--the gallery is off limits for me. So, I guess I'm gonna have to work with what I can in my game and hope that a fix comes sooner rather than later.

So with that sorted out, I feel safe enough playing this family and will try to get my ass back on track.

After she read her book and he did his thing with her mother, they sat down and started talking. I had absolutely no part in their conversation--it's nice to see them talk autonomously.

For promotion purposes, J had to do two freelance jobs. This one is helping to figure out why a robot army is so lazy.

This unicorn's name is Silver Eyes--you can blame the internet for that name. Hertha is adorable.

Not gonna lie, though. Kenny's my favorite of the three girls.

Autonomous hugs!

These two get along really well--I'm not sure how I feel about this, considering Val's animosity toward Kenny.

She even agreed to play dolls with Hertha! Although, maybe she's preparing for her own children?

Jo is reading, Val is doing extra credit, and Hertha's doing homework. Kenny was already done with hers--and she's cleaning the dishes at this point.

"This stuff's confusing."

"Well yeah; you haven't gone to school yet. I'll help."

She does look rather teacherly, no?

She reads while he eats--she's still working on that aspiration.

Apparently Val's got a 'forced happy' face. She's admiring herself in the mirror, but that smile can't be genuine.

Kenny continues to read while Hertha sleeps--poor kid's exhausted.

I checked Val's simology panel. She only has six days until she's a young adult! Holy crap.

She's tired and hungry--I won't let them sleep if their bladder or hunger is in the yellow. If I do they gotta get up in a matter of minutes anyway to pee or eat.

So, I did some decorating--and look! Almost everyone has walls around them now!

And yes, stare at Kenny's bright red plumbob as she's forced to stay up to pee while her younger half-sister eats and her older half-sister sleeps along with her mom and J. ......She's literally the only one without entire blood ties to the first generation (that lives in house).

Okay, it's nearly 5:30 in the morning and I'm probably to be up in just a couple hours. I'm gonna post this really short thing now and try to make up for it later, okay? I need sleep.

Sadly Not Another Chapter.

Okay, so I've tried to play Sims about three or four times today--not the Zavanella family, but a couple of my other ones. Each time I did, the game has crashed. :/

It might be because I went into the gallery and spent a long-ass time there because I wanted my Sims to have some nice houses (and maybe some more Sims to have as mate material). But I'm not positive.

Either way, I'm not gonna play the Zavanellas until I've figured out whether or not that's the real issue. If it is, then I guess I'm not gonna use the gallery. If it's not, then I dunno what I'll do--maybe uninstall and re-install? Even though i really don't wanna post another legacy when I feel like I've gotten so far with this family.

Guess we'll all find out, yeah?

Have this picture of a panda drawing I found on Google years ago in consolation.

Hopefully the next time I post it's the Zavanellas!

Generation Two; Day Like, Eleven or Something: My Computer is Dumb So . . .

So I did something that resembled math--lots of guesstimating--and I think we're already around the eleventh day of the second generation. So I'm obviously not posting one Sim-day at a time anymore, but they'll be continued to be labeled as such because that's how I started it and I don't feel like going through and editing all fifteen posts to be the generic '1.0, 1.1, 1.2, etc.' thing.

So last time a lot happened--Jo and J fixed their relationship, Kenny aged into a teen, and baby Hertha was born! I swear she's the last child of generation two. Kenny is heir by the laws, so the other two will only stay in the house long enough to get pregnant with their first child and then I'm kicking them out. (I want to see more Zavanella children running around.)

To the game!

Belated pre-parental panic.
Hertha/J spam!

End spam. Expect that with all members of the family at some point--maybe.

Inviting Bruce over.

I think she'll like Hertha more than she ever has Kenny.

A wannabe gangsta. Okay.

It's like she's a kid again enthusing about candy.

"You betta not be lyin' to me woman!"

Look how endeared he looks!

Partially for the pout but also because her parents are adorable.

Random push ups are random.

These three went to the gym. Jo stayed home because I'm not sure of what happens to the baby when everyone leaves the lot, since babies are essentially objects and all.

Befriending your boyfriend's mom. Nice. Now his dad and sister need befriended, too, y'know.

"I'd have to find them first. There is no 'invite household' anymore."

Right. Might have to send you to the Goth house.

Kenny left J and Val at the gym for books. She introduced herself to Josef something or other, but he's an adult so he's unavailable.

We also met this lovely woman with the glorious afro. Valerie McBride, Kenny.

"I have that same shirt."

So does your mother. It seems to be a staple.

"Huh."

Then she got hungry so I sent her home.

The evening and night were boring so here have something from the next morning.

Val talking to Hertha. I then tried to age Hertha up, but my game did something weird so I tried to exit so I could redo it. Instead, it opened CAS so I could makeover Hertha. Another Jo clone, by the way.

So my computer is running ridiculously slow and stuff, so I'm gonna end this post here to figure out what the hell is going on.
